Student-athlete, programmer, and future innovator — bridging the worlds of sports and technology.
I'm Marcus Fikes III, a student-athlete from Atlanta, Georgia with a 3.8 GPA, a passion for competition, and a growing love for technology. I play Cornerback (CB) standing 5'11" at 175 lbs — and I've been playing football since I was 5 years old.
The story starts even earlier. My parents put a ball in my hands at 12 months old, and I haven't put it down since. I still have the stuffed ball I used to toss around as a kid — it goes everywhere with me. Sport isn't something I do. It's who I am.
Off the field, I've taken that same drive into tech. Through real-world experience at Patheown, I've worked on data mapping and workflow automations — the kind of hands-on skills most people don't develop until college. I'm just getting started.
As a two-sport athlete, I understand the body's demands firsthand. My goal in sports medicine is to help athletes recover, perform, and stay healthy — bringing both an insider's perspective and a scientific mindset to patient care.
With hands-on Python experience, Git workflows, and real automation projects, I'm building a foundation for computer engineering. I want to design the systems that power the next generation of technology — from software to hardware.
Playing since age 5. My parents gave me a ball at 12 months and I never let it go. As a CB, I read the game before it happens — anticipating routes, matching speed, locking down receivers. The stuffed ball I tossed around at 5 is still with me today.
Maintaining a 3.8 GPA while competing at the varsity level isn't luck — it's systems. I've developed the habits that let me perform in every arena.
Whether it's an internship, mentorship, or just a conversation — I'm always open to connecting with people who are building something great.
